About Us
Dental Associates Papamoa opened its doors at the end of 2017 in the heart of Papamoa Beach, at Fashion Island. Our location is very central, handy and there is ample parking available in the area. Offering a wide range of dental treatments, we pride ourselves on the quality of our work and gentle touch of our team.
We understand that visiting the dentist can be scary and we want to change that, by truly listening to you and your concerns. We are open 7 days a week and offer late nights on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, for those patients that find it difficult to fit a dentist visit within their busy working hours.
Next to us there are several medical services that complement what has become a hub for health care in Papamoa, including “The Doctors – Papamoa”, “Papamoa Pharmacy”, "Body in Motion Physio" and "Pathlab".

Yvonne Chesham, Senior Dental Assistant
My name is Yvonne Chesham. I have 3 adult children and 5 beautiful grandchildren.
I have recently moved to the Bay of Plenty for a lifestyle change and am excited to have been involved in the setting up of Papamoa Dental Associates.
I have 10 years' experience as a dental assistant with a strong interest in the cosmetic side of dentistry. I enjoy running, cycling and any outdoor activity really. I love my family, movies and travel.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you to make coming to the dentist a great experience.
Hazel Sheppard, Senior Dental Assistant
I have been working as a dental assistant since 2011 and completed my dental assistant certificate in 2014. I joined the team at Dental Associates Papamoa late last year and was given the opportunity to pursue my interest in orthodontics and learn new skills.
I hope to one day continue my education in the dental industry and become a dental hygienist/therapist. When not in the clinic I enjoy spending my time exploring everything the bay has to offer.

Hi I’m Sharla. I joined the team in March 2018. I have worked in the dental industry for 19 years in a wide range of roles.
My family and I moved to Papamoa at the end of 2016 and love living in the bay and being part of a small tight knit community, outside of work I enjoy snowboarding, reading, playing sports and spending time with my family.
