John brings to the practice decades of experience both in New Zealand and overseas. His first two formative years were spent in a highly regarded practice where both dentists had won scholarships to study in USA. It was no surprise therefore that John had spent two years in postgraduate training programmes in the States before heading to England for further study and practice.
He returned to New Zealand in1973, practising in Pukekohe until 1979. By this time he had opened a practice in the newly created Manukau City Centre.
Launched in 1996, Mighty Mouth Dental rapidly grew to become one of the largest privately owned practices in the country.
John sold Mighty Mouth in 2016 and alongside his two former top dentists set up Dental Associates Papamoa in October of 2017. John limits his clinical involvement to dental sleep apnoea.
John and his wife now enjoy their two young grandchildren. He is a keen mountain biker, fly fisherman and avid gardener.
